CRISIS TURNS OUT SWIMMINGLY FOR TORTOISE

New children’s book shows the adventures to be had outside of your comfort zone. Tall Tails Publishing announces a new title sure to please.

Okmulgee, OK—Horace the Tortoise: At the Water’s Edge is a delightful new picture book about leaving your comfort zone and trying new experiences. The picture book was written and illustrated by two Oklahoma natives and OSU-IT graphic design graduates, Krystal Russell and Tabitha Smith.

Author Krystal Russell peeks under the hard shell of a grumpy tortoise who has let his worries about the unknown keep him from learning anything new. He drags his feet until a chance encounter with a friendly toad speeds things along. The charming illustrations by Tabitha Smith add depth and wonder to Horace’s watery surroundings and bring out the true character of the grouchy tortoise and his irrepressible friend.

Horace the Tortoise: At the Water’s Edge [ISBN 978-0-9823519-1-8] is currently available for $8.99 from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and the Ingram catalog.
