If enough authors, publishers, book sellers, educators, school systems, library systems, colleges, readers, literacy professionals and supporters unite to send a message to state officials that such an event could have high monetary, promotional, and life changing impact on Oklahoma.
Oklahoma could join several other states who are focusing on the established and emerging talent of their own writers, authors, illustrators to create an event to bring people to the state, encourage support of the authors, publishers and send a clear message that Oklahoma values reading!
It is important that the event include a purpose to promote reading, promote authors, encourage emerging authors, and encourage youthful authors. A cycle of reading, writing, and living!
