– October 9, 2012. Debut author and former Hollywood actress Carrie Crain has
signed a deal for The Adventures of Austin Girl and
the Legend of Diablo
children’s book series to be published this fall by Two Crain Teen an imprint
of Two Crain Publishing, LLC. The book is about Austin Girl, a dispirited
teenager, who discovers a magic Samurai sword, leading her on a journey to
Planet Disco to save her kidnapped Grandpa from the nefarious Diablo, and
return to Earth before she becomes a permanent guest.
The Adventures of
Austin Girl and the Legend of Diablo
is a quirky fantasy that takes the reader on a fast-paced journey.
“I
originally wrote this story as a screenplay while I studied creative writing in
fiction and screenwriting at UCLA extension,” says Crain.
Carrie Crain received her bachelor of arts
in Sociology from the University of Oklahoma and studied screenwriting and
creative writing in fiction at UCLA. She has freelanced for Austin Monthly
Magazine and was a contributing writer for the Crazytownblog. She lives in
