TONYA TRIMBLE TOURS AND THAT IS WITH A CAPITAL "T" FOR TERRIFIC!

Tonya Trimble and her publisher, Tell Me Press, announce her new book for kids called Curiosity With a Capital S. The book released in hardcover on Aug. 1 and will be out in soft cover on Oct. 1.  


She's doing a few area events over the next few days. Tomorrow in Oklahoma City she's doing a book signing luncheon with retired teachers. On Wednesday, she's doing a book signing with retired Oklahoma City School Administration personnel. And then on Thursday, she's going to Tulsa for a book signing at Monte Cassino School in the morning (she graduated from High School there) and then one at Marquette Catholic School later that day (she taught elementary grades there).

Oklahoma Author Launches Steampunk Series


Enid, Oklahoma's own Brian Young continues his launch into the steam punk genre with the release of news about the expanded Silent War series.  A dramatic and intriguing story line is inventively woven through the first book  De Civitate Sanguino: The City of the Bloodthirsty.  It is set for release on March 1st by Damnation Books.  Others, will soon follow.  It is sure to be a favorite series of not only Oklahoma Steam Punk followers but any who love Gothic, Vampire, Adventure, and Historical fiction. Young holds degrees in history from Northwestern University and University of Wales, Lampeter.

CHISHOLM TRAIL BOOK FESTIVAL

Saturday, September 17, 2011 in Duncan, Oklahoma the Chisholm Trail Book festival kicked off as local and regional authors converged to meet readers, sell books, and meet other word smiths.

Along the way the festival encouraged student reading and writing through essay contests, encouraged volunteerism through student helpers to help authors load and unload books, generally assist, and help carry off the many tasks of a successful event. Community groups and sponsors made the event possible through monetary, promotional, volunteer, and time donations.

OKLAHOMA AUTHORS TO VISIT ENID



Authors, Cullan Hudson and Marilyn A. Hudson, will present a program at the Enid and Garfield County Public Library on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10 a.m.


Hear about the research and writing process, dramatic readings of selected portions of their new work, The Mound: A Novel, hear a spine tingling tale from Oklahoma history from Marilyn, who is also a professional storyteller who specializes in shivery offerings as "The Ghost Teller."


Cullan Hudson is a freelance graphic artist and author of the popular work,Strange State: Mysteries and Legends of Oklahoma. This almost encyclopedic look at the strange side of Oklahoma history has been called "the book on the subject." Marilyn A. Hudson is author of a collection of chilling tales The Bones of Summer and a historic monograph, When Death Rode the Rails: Strange Deaths Along Oklahoma Rails, 1900-1920.

There will also be opportunity to get autographs and photos with the authors. All books are available on Amazon.
